Progress
Our Under 10s are in their third season in the ELE League (East London & Essex League) where home and away games are played every Sunday on Wansted Flats. Matches are played 7 a side. Last season they won the Blue League Championship with a goal difference of 60 goals conceding only 6 goals. They also reached the Semi-Final of the Red League Cup played at Hornchurch FC where they were knocked out by East Ham Rovers after extra time and sudden death penalties. The boys ‘avenged’ this defeat in their debut match in the Red League Championship on 20 September beating East Ham 2-1.
Last season the boys also played a friendly six-a-side against the Centre of Excellence of Watford FC in Harefield and they have been invited to play on a regular basis.
Last season the team made their debut in the London Youth Cup. In the first round they won 4-1 away to New Town Tigers in Hextable (Bromley) but lost in the second round 2-0 away to Glebe FC (Bromley) in a really exciting contest (read report on the Glebe website).
In the close season Summer Tournaments the boys reached Quarter Final, Semi-Final and Final rounds.
